Morning Announcements

Today is Friday, April 25th, and it’s a RED Day.

  • April is Autism Acceptance Month. It's an opportunity to raise awareness and promote understanding of the strengths and contributions of people with Autism.  Barbara McClintock, a scientist and geneticist, was notable for important breakthroughs in the study of chromosomes and how they change during the reproduction process. She is thought to be autistic. She was able to focus great lengths on her interests, specifically her work, and she found social attention very aversive, so much so that she almost refused to accept the Nobel Prize because she didn’t want to give a speech. THE MORE YOU KNOW

  • Seniors! Decision Day for May 1st is on … if you wanted to be included in the show, make sure you submit your post-secondary swag photo and information to the form. We reopened the link until April 30th.

  • Advanced Placement students taking an exam in May, all received the email to take advantage of the early release/late arrival privilege – that must be completed by April 30th.  You also received an email over the break that included your AP schedule and your room number for testing. Be sure to add that to your calendar.

  • Shout out to our Eastern Center students who will be inducted into the National Technical Honor Society : Congrats to Lizaveta Baidzimirava (Bade-zee-mo-rava). Meghan Groman, Isabelle Hicks, and Ben Zollers.
