Communicable Diseases

The following communicable diseases that require exclusion from school: 

  1. Chicken Pox: 7 days after the eruption of vesicles (all must be scabbed over). 

  2. Conjunctivitis: 24 hours after the start of treatment.

  3. Fifth Disease: NO exclusion.

  4. Impetigo: 24 hours after the start of treatment (must be covered while in school).

  5. Measles: Return to school only with a doctors note. 

  6. Mumps: Return to school only with a doctors note.

  7. Ringworm: 24 hours after the start of treatment (must be covered while in school).

  8. Scarlet fever: 24 hours after the start of treatment.

  9. Scabies: 24 hours after the start of treatment.

  10. Step throat: 24 hours after the start of treatment.
