Hatboro-Horsham Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program
Program Information
At the June 17, 2024 action meeting, the Hatboro-Horsham School District (HHSD) Board of Directors unanimously approved a tax rebate for property that could see a discount of up to $500.00 per resident. This program is being offered by the HHSD in addition to the Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program.
To qualify for this discount-refund, applicants must have completed and received a refund from the Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program. To qualify, applicants must have a household income of no more than $45,000 annually, and:
be 65 years of age or older: or
be a widow or widower aged 50 years of age or older; or
be permanently disabled and 18 years of age or older.
The property tax and rent rebate program is based upon the existing Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate program which has been in effect since 1971 and is funded by the state lottery and slot machine proceeds. Hatboro-Horsham residents must qualify for the state rebate program to qualify for the district rebate program.
Homeowners and Renters that filed a 2023 Pennsylvania Rebate Application in 2024 (with proof of a PAID 2023 Tax Bill ), from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 and have proof of that refund can fill out the attached HHSD Rebate application form and submit it along with the required document as directed on the application.
